ADMISSION PROCEDURE

All the admissions will be done by the college as per MSBTE and DTE Admission Norms.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

For First Year Diploma :

Candidate should have passed SSC (Std. X) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent, with subjects Mathematics, General Science and English, with minimum 35% aggregate marks.

For Direct Second Year Diploma :

  • Candidate should have passed HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with minimum 50% with Technical subjects and Vocational subjects.
  • ITI, ATS or MCVC passed with First Class

Candidate shall be exempted from the following subjects if he/she has secured minimum 40% Mark in HSC Board Examination or its equivalent in those subjects.

  • Applied Physics
  • Engineering Mathematics
  • Communication Skills

IMPORTANT

In lieu of the Certificate of Indian Nationality Following Documents may also be acceptable

  1. The school Leaving Certificate indicating the nationality of the candidate as 'Indian'
  2. Indian passport in the name of the candidate.
  3. Birth certificate of the candidate indicating the place of birth in India.

Domicile Certificate

Domicile certificate issued by Maharashtra State's appropriate authorities will be considered valid.

Affidavit against Duplicate Leaving Certificate

An affidavit is required if the Leaving certificate is duplicate.

Retention of Original Certificates.

Once the candidate is admitted to a course, his or her original school leaving certificate (last attended) will be retained by the institute. The original certificate will not be returned to any candidate unless the candidate cancels his or her admission.

Note : If the concerned Social Justice / Tribal welfare Authority denies the claim or backward class category candidate fails to substantiate claim for fees reimbursement with documents in respect of his / her category, then it will be the responsibility of the candidate to pay the prescribed fees to the Institute.

MODE OF PAYMENT OF FEES:

The Candidate who has been offered a seat in the Institute, shall pay the prescribed Tuition Fees, Development Fees, Other Fees in the form of CASH/D.D. / P.O. of Nationalized bank valid for minimum six months in favour of 'Principal Smt. Geeta D. Tatkare Polytechnic'. No other mode of payment will be accepted. The admission shall be confirmed only after the payment of fees.
All the candidates who are eligible for fee concession should produce documentary evidence issued by appropriate authority at the time of admission.

CAUTION MONEY DEPOSIT:

Caution Money Deposit received from the student shall be refunded after successful completionof the course by the student or after cancellation of admission. Unless there is any recovery, nodeduction shall be made from the caution money deposit.
However, the amount of caution moneydeposit shall be transferred to Students Aid Fund, if candidate does not apply for refund within 3complete financial years after actually leaving the institute, or within 3 complete financial yearsafter the date of successful completion of the course, whichever is earlier.

CANCELLATION OF ADMISSION:

The candidate should have taken admission by paying necessary tuition fee and should havesubmitted all original certificates / required documents before applying for admission. In casecandidate fails to submit any of the original documents within the allowed time limit, theadmission shall be treated as cancelled. Refund of fees shall not be applicable for such candidates.

REFUND OF FEES AFTER CANCELLATION OF ADMISSION:

Refund will be made as per D.T.E. Rules. If candidate wishes to cancel the admission for First Year / DirectSecond Year after cut-off date (as declared by Competent Authority), no refund of fees will begiven. In case of cancellation of admission from Second Year onwards, full fees for remaining yearsof the course will have to be paid, as institute cannot fill such seats.
