Department of Civil Engineering
Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, Construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings.
The department of civil engineering established in 2014, has made remarkable progress since then, with capacity of 60 students. The Civil Engineering department provides all the facilities required to study and understand construction with an eye on environmental friendliness.
The department seeks expertise from several branches of Civil Engineering viz. Structures, construction management, Hydraulics and Environmental Engineering, Advanced Surveying etc. The department has well qualified and learned faculties with minimum qualification of bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
The faculty has participated in several academic activities by submitting research papers at national and international levels. They are frequently invited to conduct guest lecturers for students from various institutes.
The Department of Civil Engineering has been offering consultancy and services in testing of building material viz. steel, cement, bricks, RCC & Steel design of the structures, Stability analysis, Supervision and Quality control, soil & water testing etc.
The department has well qualified faculty and experienced staff, supported with well-equipped laboratories, computing facilities and skilled technical staff to offer quality technical education.

Mrs. Priyanka N. Jamkar(Program Co-ordinator)
Civil Department
It gives me immense pleasure to lead the Department of Civil
Engineering. The students are groomed to be thorough professionals
with blend of up-to-date technical knowledge and field experience
gained during Internship.
The greatest asset of the Civil Department is its highly motivated and
learned faculty. The available diversity of expertise of the faculty with
the support of the other staff prepares the students to work in Global
Multicultural Environment. To bring synergy in its various activities, the
department of civil engineering include six labs Concrete Technology,
Geotechnical engineering, Mechanics of structure, Advanced Surveying,
Highway Engineering, Fluid Mechanics.
We continuously strive to make
students aware of the latest technological developments by imparting
quality education and organizing various departmental activities such as
industry visits, guest lectures, skill development trailing etc. for their
holistic development as a professional engineer.
The framework of the
program provides ample opportunities to the students to train themselves
as researcher, thinker, job-seeker, entrepreneur, or innovator based on
their passion They are placed as officers (through IES examination)
Specification Consultant, Structural Engineer, Executive Planner etc.
We at RCE strongly believe to provide ample opportunity to the students
to get global exposure in the field of civil engineering. The value based
education drives our students to be competent and creative leaders
of tomorrow.

Mr. Rutik Kadam
"SGDTP has been my second home, 3 years of College has seemed like 3 months, days have been happier, exciting and full of knowledge. Teachers have been great, always focusing attention on our all-round development. There has always been a very friendly and lively atmosphere and a driving spirit to learn. Strict discipline (in terms of attendance, classrooms and practical) in 3 years of my college days at SGDTP helped me to grow personally and further instrumental in my professional carrier as well. All theory session was supported by real time example from Industry which helped in understanding the topic easily. Abundant facilities in labs which would give hands-on experience on machines. I always recommend students to join SGDTP college as they really help us to grow in terms of knowledge with professional attributes. My best wishes to SGDTP to continue the good work for building a strong society for numerous years to come. Truly and honestly, from the bottom of my heart, I would finally say that, SGDTP has given me the best days of my life, which I shall cherish forever.
!! Thinking of Engineering, Think SGDTP !!
Mr AKSHAY RATHOD
I am glad to provide you with my feedback about the college. My overall experience to date has been amazing, and the college is having an amazing infrastructure. college has provided me with a number of opportunities to grow and explore my skills. The emphasis on sports along with education always helped me a lot. I have always found a positive and healthy environment and the teachers are highly supportive. Most of my doubts were cleared after the classes get over. Institute has also collaborated with different industries and Institute by which they are arrange field visit, internship program and placement activities. Institute has well developed laboratories with all necessary equipment and instruments. Library facility with many numbers of books with good reading section.
Faculties also supportive with students not only education but also for research and extra curriculum activities. I feel really blessed for completed my 3 years of diploma education from this Institute. This is the best Institute for those who want to complete their engineering education.
Wish you good future and all the best to all. Thank You.
