Department of Electrical Engineering
Electrical engineering is an engineering discipline concerned with the study, design, and
application of equipment, devices, and systems which use electricity, electronics,
and electromagnetism.
Electrical engineering is now divided into a wide range of different fields, including computer
engineering, systems engineering, power engineering, telecommunications, radio-frequency
engineering, signal processing, instrumentation, photovoltaic cells, electronics,
and optics and photonics.
Electrical engineers typically hold a degree in electrical engineering or electronic engineering.
Practicing engineers may have professional certification and be members of a professional
body or an international standards organization. These include the International Electro
technical Commission (IEC), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and
the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
Electrical engineers work in a very wide range of industries and the skills required are likewise
variable. These range from circuit theory to the management skills of a project manager. The
tools and equipment that an individual engineer may need are similarly variable, ranging from a
simple voltmeter to sophisticated design and manufacturing software.
Over the years, the Electrical Engineering Department has evolved to reach and hold a unique
position of pride in the Technical Education System.

Hello everyone I'm Mr. Dishant Dinesh Kapdi. I have completed my diploma in electrical engineering from SGDTP in year 2021. Presently I'm studying engineering in Mumbai.The campus of SGDTP College is very good for education. This electrical department has very good quality of teachers, they are kin towards each and every individual also they are very much supportive in all extracurricular activities of students. The department has big and well equipped labs for various practical sessions.The college library is also good, there are various publications and research books are available. There are many programs arranged from Training and Placement department for improving skills of students.
